Privacy policy

Last updated 18 October 2026

This policy covers Recipe Cost Calculator at recipecostcalculator.online (“the service”). In short: we keep what is needed to sign you in and to store your recipes, nothing more, and we don't sell it, share it for advertising or track you around the web.

What we collect

When you sign in with Google

Google tells us your name, email address and profile picture address, and confirms your email is verified. We use these to create your account and show who is signed in. We don't get your Google password or access to your Gmail, contacts or files.

What you enter

Your ingredients, prices, recipes, notes, settings (currency and number format) and any photos you add to recipes. This is stored so the app can show it to you on any device.

Sign-in sessions

Each time you sign in, we record the session with the IP address and browser details (user agent) it came from, and set a cookie that keeps you signed in. Sessions expire, and signing out ends yours.

The free calculators

The calculators on the public pages run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them is saved or sent to us.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Where it is kept

The service runs on Cloudflare. Your account, recipes and sessions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and your photos in Cloudflare R2 storage. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Photos can only be viewed by the account that uploaded them.

Who we share it with

• Google, to sign you in.
• Cloudflare, which hosts the service and stores the data on our behalf.

We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Your ingredients, recipes and photos are kept for as long as you have an account. A photo is deleted when you remove it from its recipe or delete the recipe. Expired sign-in sessions are no longer used.

Your choices

• Export: Settings → Export backup downloads everything you have entered as a file.
• Delete your data: Settings lets you delete all your ingredients and recipes.
• Delete your account: write to support@recipecostcalculator.online from the email address you sign in with, and we will remove your account and everything in it.

Children

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
